So, back to that darn mattress well maybe not quite yet. The only draw back to his job is that the chairs provided for his use were giving him back trouble. It doesn't help that he never sits in a chair properly. He's a sloucher. I've coached him on how to sit properly: rear end all the way back in the chair, feet flat on the floor, thighs parallel to the floor, and don't lean forward too much. Still, his back was on the verge of completely seizing up. He was reduced to wearing a back brace just to get by. So I suggested we go out and find him a chair that fits him and supports his back and that when we find it, we buy two of them. One for each location of the practice.
Of course, all mattresses made of any material are prone to collect dirt and skin cells because people, and often pet animals, lie on them. The best way to keep a memory foam mattress clean of dirt and debris is to protect it well. Sheets are the standard for mattress protection, that and comfort are why sheets were invented. But dirt and skin cells can penetrate the fabric of sheets and end up in the mattress. Mattress protectors are a wise investment in prolonging the life of a memory foam mattress. If young children will be using a memory foam mattress, consider protecting it with a plastic-backed mattress protector. Mattress protectors are easily removed and washed to maintain a clean bed and keep the memory foam mattress free of dirt and debris.
After researching various memory foam toppers online, I got a 3.0 " Visco2 Memory Foam Topper. I can honestly say Im really enjoying my bed again.
