The third step in the process is the mattress inspection. Most companies contract an independent third party inspection company to examine mattresses and or boxsprings that are believed to be defective. These inspectors are trained professionals that know what type of defects to look for and what the warranty covers. You can expect the inspector to measure the mattress and boxspring for body impressions. The inspector will also perform a pressure test on the mattress to check for void and/or missing or displaced coils. Finally, the inspector will check the frame to make sure the mattress set is being supported properly. The inspector will then submit the findings back to the retailer and the retailer notifies you of the results.
If you have a sleeping partner and you existing mattress is not sufficiently comfortable then you must be searching for a new one. This guide will tell you on what a good mattress can provide you.
There is a notion that a firm mattress if the best for your hurting muscles. Apparently, this is not the case. According to research, back pain patients have reported improvement after sleeping on a medium firm mattress because it offers enhanced stability. Avoid choosing a too firm mattress because it is likely to exert pressure on some of the body parts to cause pressure points. This can in turn lead pains and aches.
So, why is there is so much hype about a product that is arguably plain bad? Common problems such as high cost, the weight of the product, over-heating, aggravated night-sweats, chemical smells, difficulties in turning over, discomfort while waiting for the foam to remould to the new position, variable firmness according to the time of year, feeling "gripped" by the foam, or even (allegedly) poor love-making! That's quite a list and it is simply amazing that the product continues to sell.
